What time is the Arboretum open?
The Arboretum interpretive center is open every Wednesday from 8:00 am-12:00 pm in the summer, and 12pm-4pm in the winter/spring. The Arboretum is also open to the public from 9:00 am-12:00 pm every second Saturday.
The trails around the Arboretum are closed from 12:00 am - 5:00 am, and follow the established Park Rules as established by the City.
When do the Wednesday Wonder Volunteers Meet?
Volunteers meet every Wednesday. Just look for us in the red brick house or in the gardens. In the summer volunteers hours are from 8:00 am-12:00 pm, and in the winter from 12:00 pm-4:00 pm. Volunteers are free to come and go as they please. You do not have to have any prior gardening experience to volunteer with us!
Are there restroom facilities available?
The restroom facilities are available in the Hodges Community Center and the Garden and Arts Center during normal operating hours.
Are pets allowed at the Arboretum?
Pets are allowed and must be on a leash, as required by City Ordinance in all city parks.
Does the Arboretum conduct guided tours?
Special guided tours are available to educate groups about trees and plants as well as growing conditions. Arrangements can be made by calling the Arboretum at 806-797-4520.
Are the trails wheelchair accessible?
Yes, all the trails have been designed so that they are accessible by wheelchair.
